Volume of Oil in the Tank
Your job is to find the volume of oil in the tank when the tank is oriented as shown. You know the dimensions of the tank, and you can measure the depth of the liquid in the center of the tank through a hole in the top of the tank. Other than the dimensions of the tank, the depth of liquid is the only other measurement you can find without using math formulas, equations, and concepts. You may not tip the tank to measure depth and you cannot remove the liquid to measure in a different container.

Total height of tank is 4 feet.
Total length of tank is 4 feet.
The top and bottom sections of the tank form a complete cylinder with a rectangular or square section in the middle.
Diameter of cylinder is 2 feet.
